Every year a text book or popular philosophical composition is taken for discussion. In every class, the content of the chosen book/composition is reviewed. Discussion follows the review for what the passage/verse means to us in this age and time; how they may apply to day-to-day life and if there is any way we can implement such lessons in our daily lives. The discussion format is the most important part of the classes. Lessons are supported with stories, either narrated by Amma and/or from scriptures - not restricted just to Hindu scriptures, that are in line with the lessons for the day.
